Analysis of teaching material | My lesson is Unit3 Have you ever done a part-time job, taken from Higher Education Press book 2. This unit is about job. This topic is related closely to students’ daily life and the career demand. My lesson is the reading and writing part of this unit. The textbook presents two job advertisements. According to students’ major and situation, I use only one of them. (Marketing assistant wanted). | ||||||||||||||||||
Analysis of students | The students in my class are major in car repairing. Most of them are boys. They are creative and full of energy. They just understand some simple words and phrases, so some of them are afraid of learning English, even tired of learning. But they have strong desire to perform well. What they need most is help and encourage. So in this lesson, I will design competition and various activities to spark the students’ interest and set up their confidence. | ||||||||||||||||||

| Grouping Before reading, I will divide the whole class into 4 groups to do competitions while finish different tasks. Task 1: Read and complete 1) Ask students to read the advertisement fast to complete the chart.
2) Check the answer. Give one smile face to the group whose member gives the right answer. Task 2: Read and tick 1) Ask students to read the advertisement fast to tick the qualities of being marketing assistant. ( )1. have at least two-year work experience in this field. ( ) 2. speak fluent English. ( ) 3. have good communication skills. ( ) 4. be able to work under pressure. ( ) 5. Good computer skills. ( ) 6. Willing to work on weekends. 2) Check the answer.
