Lead-in

Students prepare a short dialogue about wake-up call in Chinese, ask them to present their dialogue for their classmate, then teacher ask the students to guess the knowledge is related to which subject they have learned. After that, ask students to answer some questions about it.

Words and Expressions

wake-up call 叫醒(早)服务,       

operator 话务员,操作员

morning call service 叫早服务,

by phone      电话叫早,               

by computer 计算机叫早,

by knocking at the door 人工叫早 ,

Ask the students to learn the new words and expressions by reading aloud after the teacher.

Dialogue

I. Ask the students to learn the new dialogue by listening to the recorder first.

II. Ask the students to read the dialogue aloud after the teacher.

III. Ask the students to read the dialogue with their partners.

Ⅳ. Ask four students to act as the operator and the guest to read the dialogue.

Ⅴ. Ask the students to read the dialogue like this: one student read one sentence like drive a train.

Dialogue

Ⅵ. Ask all the students to read the dialogue together.

Ⅶ. Encourage some students to act as the operator and the guest to give a show, four students a group, one speak in Chinese, another one translate it in English.
